**  I can’t believe I didn’t do a Tuesday Tidbits post yesterday… that’s usually my favourite post of the week to write!

**  But I was tired and ended up skyping with my new niece (and her parents 😉 ) and having another brother over for dinner, so after that I just blobbed on the couch in front of “Packed to the Rafters…”

**  Hence the “Wednesday what-nots” instead…

**  This week I seem to be on a cooking & baking spree!!…

More cookies…

Chocolate & Rasberry! – These are so rich but very very good…

Lots of hearty winter casseroles and pies…

Beef Stroganoff casserole…

**  I also made a really REALLY yummy pumpkin pie which I forgot to photograph. Duh!

**  First time ever making pumpkin pie. But we somehow managed to get delivered a life time supply of pumpkin by accident the other day when my online shop got delivered. When I rang to ask if I could return their mistake they said they couldn’t take perishables back so I might as well keep it. Nice. But that left me with a LOT of pumpkin to do something with. Hence the pumpkin pie…

**  I know this is kind of turning into a food blog recently – sorry!
It’s not likely to continue though. It’s just that me spending a lot of time in the kitchen is so rare that it really needs to be documented!

**  I’m guessing it’s the onset of cooler weather inspiring me to make some good old winter “comfort food”, because we were just so over summer food!

**  Today we have had another day at home enjoying some “peace of quiet” (Hannah’s words not mine).

**  The kids got to watch much more tv than normal thanks to a day of rain, and I got to enjoy some much needed time sitting here…

**  The scrap drawer, batting scraps and the iron close by – that can only mean one thing…

**  More scrappy projects, yea HAaaaa!

** More details coming tomorrow…

** And I haven’t heard that my newest quilt has arrived to it’s new owner so I can’t even show you that. Definitely on Friday! Gah!

  1. I love your set up there. And could you send me some of those cookies please. I have a real sugar craving going this morning and it would help give me a sugar high so that I could get on with binding my quilt rather than mooching about trying to ignore the ‘must do’ things.

  2. You’re turning into a regular Nigella Lawson. Love the look of those cookies. Can you send me one please?

Pumpkin keeps for a very long time if it isnt cut. Otherwise I’d be making a lot of soup for the freezer.
