Happy 2018 everyone!
I actually can’t believe that this is my first blog post of the year! It’s been a busy time though, so I guess it’s understandable. Last time I wrote, I let you know that we were on the move. Well, it’s been almost 2 months since we moved in with my Mum, and it feels like it’s flown by. It’s been a rather crazy busy time because we had my brothers visit for the holidays, Neil’s Mum over from the UK for 3 1/2 weeks, then all my brothers back again last weekend for a family wedding. With the kids home on summer holidays until last week and all the visitors in and out, I’m not sure we’ve had a chance to develop a new routine yet. But, now that school has started back again and all the visitors have gone home, the routine will come I’m sure.
Over the new year we hired a camper and went on a family road trip. The weather wasn’t kind to us, as we had a storm rip through the country. But, we had a fun time regardless and it was a really fun adventure. I’m kind of a bit in love with motor homing now!
Did you have a nice holiday? It’s starting to feel like a while ago now isn’t it?
This was my favourite pic from our time away: husband and I having our morning drink at the foot of Mt Egmont, in Mt Egmont National Park. We were lucky to have such a clear morning!
With such a hard few years behind us, I’m excited by the year ahead! My words for 2018 are FUN and COURAGE.
FUN, because life is short and for living. We have a trip of a lifetime coming up in July/Aug/Sept, where we will be going to Fiji for 7 nights then Europe for 4 weeks. I am beyond excited about that and dreaming of all the fun things to see. Please let me know if you have any favourites I must see!
COURAGE, because this year I want to have the courage to reach for my dreams. I can be shy and hold back. This year I want to have the courage to step into the spaces I know I’m called. Exciting things are brewing so watch this space! Let’s just say, I’m planning on blogging a lot more regularly from now on.
Have you set your goals for 2018 yet? Have you got a word for 2018? This is my first year having a “word of the year”, but it was an exercise I was encouraged to do at a women’s Mastermind Day I intended and I love the idea. I believe that where your intentions and energy goes, your actions and habits will follow. I want to live a fun and courageous life, so that’s what I’m intending and acting on. So far it’s working great.
What about you, if you had a word for 2018, what would it be?
Stay well and I’ll be back soon with more exciting details about what I’m up to this year.
