So good to be back in New Zealand! But oh my the jet jag!, a photo by Flutter from.Kat (Mummastimetocreate) on Flickr.
So good to be back in New Zealand! It was such a beautiful landing over the South Island with beautiful views of the mountains, Malborough Sounds then Wellington itself.
Just as well really because the rest of my flight from Melbourne was a stinker with nearly 2 hours solid of roller coaster like turbulence. Not the coolest because I was STARVING and the turbulence meant they couldn’t do our food service. I ended up having breakfast at 1pm NZ time.
I was on the red eye out of Perth and because my first flight was only 3 hours I didn’t get any sleep. I wish I had because the second flight was waaaay too bumpy to contemplate sleep. So I missed a nights sleep and fell asleep in the chair last night at 6.30pm NZ.
So, as I write this to you I’ve just had 9and a half ours sleep with is UnHEARD of for me!!
But here’s the catch… It’s now 4am NZ time and 11pm Perth time. I’ve had a full nights sleep already and don’t know what to do with myself.
Oh jet lag how I’ve missed you.
Not.
🙂
Later today/tonight is the first of my two weddings. I went there briefly yesterday and it is the most gorgeous spot! I only hope the weather today is as beautiful as yesterday because if so then it will be s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g for them!!
Ok better try and get to sleep. I’ll try and remember to take some photos on my phone as well as my camera so I can blog them easily from my iPad.
Kat xx
Welcome back to New Zealand Kat – boo to horrible turbulance and jet ‘slag’…enjoy your time!
Jet lag sucks. But going to weddings of people you love is brilliant. Have a great time and try to get more long sleeps, but in the correct time of day.
I would love that jet-lag any day xxx
Bummer on the crappy flights, but have fun at the wedding, stay up super late, and you’ll be back to regular sleeping pattern in no time!
Glad you arrived safety, have a wonderful time xx
