Full video tutorial on how to distress paint wooden furniture with chalk or vintage paint

Hi Friends!

Just before Christmas, I found this beautiful wooden cabinet in the thrift store.

I was immediately taken by the detail. A few weekends ago I gave it a makeover by distress painting it.

If you’ve been following me a while, you’ll know that distress painting furniture isn’t my usual style. Usually, I go for an all-over colour finish with extremely light sanding on the edges. But, this time I had lots of fun making this piece into a piece of art. I videoed the process for you so that you can try it at home if you like too.

In the video I share the products I use and why I chose them, go through the 7 steps involved, and show you how I apply the products.

Enjoy:

Here’s the list of what you will need:

Let me know if you try this at home, I always love to see what people have made with my tutorials!
